5 most important factors when deciding on a sponsor?

Just trying to get some feedback here... What, in order, are the 5 most important things you consider before choosing a sponsor!

Examples:

Convertion ratios, Free content, PPS/RevShare, how they pay and how often, Free Hosted Galleries, niche specific sites, Different looking sites then normal, Whether or not you have met face to face with someone from that program, How big you perceive them to be, Word of mouth, webmaster support, etc..

Please list what is MOST important to you when deciding which sponsor to send your traffic to. Thanks!

lets not forget the webmasters who signup and dont send a drop of traffic :)

Axeman 06-03-2004 08:22 AM

Content, members area, tours, response time from support email both webmaster and member. Finally payout

How well they convert. Thats all that matters because how well they convert depends on how the tours looks amoung other things.

number one for me is honesty...then conversions...then support..the sponsor i trust the most? Pimproll of course

calmlikeabomb 06-03-2004 08:36 AM

1) Content.
2) Originality of both site design and niche.
3) Payment forms, how much and when they pay.
4) Conversion ratios.
5) Word of mouth.

Can't have one without the other.

thats about 90% of the webmasters

At first their reputation, I do a board search everytime I signup for a new sponsor.

Second how honest do they threat the costumer/surfer, I always try to avoid sponsors with cross-sales, cookie cutter-sites, plug in content etc, cause that gives me the feeling that this program owner is more interested in a quick buck than in a long lasting business relation.

That's all for me, the rest becomes important after I've signed up :glugglug

repuation is key of course.

the site they want traffic for, has to be good.

in most cases they also have to be sending me traffic to get any:2 cents:

Like we shave or don't pay:winkwink: so you must be promoting us right?

I find I do better with small out of the way sponsors who have one site and focus on one niche. These are hard to find, but the ones I've managed to locate are ...

ones I wouldn't share

1 - Word of the mouth
2 - Webmaster support
3 - I must have a feeling with the program ( for example i love the slickcash.com site ) If i dont feel anything but just see '' big cars, big boats and lots of bills '' i wont signup
4 - Unique niches & Reality sites + Premade exit consoles.
5 - PPS / Revshare ( i like both )

Extra - Free hosting, Free Hosting Galleries + All that other '' crap ''

1 - Do They Pay on Time?
2 - Do they Shave?
3 - Word of Mouth
4 - Are The Tours Misleading?
5 - Do they convert?

TeaseEntertainments2 06-04-2004 07:20 AM

BUMP

EviLGuY 06-04-2004 07:33 AM

The most important thing is.. do I think they will make me money? Followed by.. do they have sites in some niches that aren't too saturated, but really that relates back to the first point.

jollyperv 06-04-2004 07:50 AM

I think it's pretty important how cool the techno song sounds on the flash intro for the WM page...

:1orglaugh

seriously, why do sponsors do that shit...
