wheres it come from?

I read where people are making 2k or more a month in the adult biz and Im asking where the bulk of it comes from.

Not wanting anything too specific, but is it coming from things like:

Running a TGP
TGP galleries
Hosted galleries
your own paysite
AVS site
Content sales
TGP spots for sale
selling traffic
Maybe you own your own host
your own affiliate program
Modeling
etc...

You dont have to be spec. just the general realm of where you make your money for the adult biz. I know people will say they make it from "sponsers" or their "site" but how did that happen, a sales to your sponser from your TGP site?

Im trying to gather some useful info as I have been in online adult since summer 2000 doing tgp galleries and running a tgp part time since I have a full time job and have never seen 2k total since I started. I now have 2 beautiful twin newborn girls and would like to stay home and get serious with online money. I already have one son and daycare for all 3 would be stupid so I wanna stay home more and make money online.

Im not scared to work at it.. Ive been here for 4 years and could only do it a few hours a night at best so now Im ready.

Right now I work a full time job making online and desktop software e-learning applications for other computer programs that might run on your system and it makes ok money, but I dont want to do it all the time.

So let me know what your bulk comes from, I hate to think I spent alot of time getting partner status at alot of TGP's for my galleries if galleries and TGP arent making the buck anymore.

So help a struggling father wanting to do better with some general info, Im not asking for a handout or instructions.. just some guidence.

I run paysites/affliate program.

If you are making only galleries now but don't earn much money, then perhaps something is wrong with them.
Maybe you could post some of some people will share their opinions about them.

TGP/MGP

You didn't reach 2000$/month within 4 years ??? Seriously ?

It's not so hard to reach - I earn more than 2000$ monthly and I'm not a guy from the "upper shelf".

Try to change your Sponsor - I created a few solid income streams on Partnership Programs and now I try to add some new Sponsors to this - You should do the same - Try the Sponsor from my Sig - if You post galleries - You'll have nice effects... Word !

-mainstream business
-forex/stock options
-online pharmaceuticals
-cancelling an affiliate who violated terms and conditions

$2000/month won't even pay my daycare for 6 kids dude!

wow... 4 years and not even 2k total.

Less $500 a year -> $40 ~ a month -> $1,4 ~ a day

What are your site, how much traffic is on it? Let me try to find out what you are doing wrong..

Been around about as long as you've been online (4.5 years in business) and in the six figs/month income level right now.
The secret? good type-in domains, adult and mainstream.
Another way I make good money online is by helping those who have the money to spend but need help finding good investments.
Realize that investors and money are all around you all the time but for investors, finding good deals is much harder then finding the money to finance them.

I have worked with hundreds of webmasters to increase their earnings.

OK the TGP I run is redhotandfree.com it gets about 200 a day and I have no trades set up at all... mostly bookmarkers right now...

However, I have had this site for a long time, and over the years I have gotton it up to 10 k a day. I recently pulled it and restarted it as a MGP and it gets 200 a day and growing. The site does send you on some links to my other sites though.

I make all my galleries this style with different content and sponsers and sometimes I do a simplier gallery layout too.

I have partner accounts and submit to them all as well as using advanced submitter to reach my non partner submissions.

Again I only do this part time until now.. thus I havent had time to make a gallery everyday and submit or even get online everyday until now... Thanks for the help

But i am sure you had some money to invest in those type-ins, since 95% of type-in domains must had been already taken 4.5 years ago.
Now the price of a 300 per day adult type-in name is over $10k so almost noone can go the same route as you, or webfather, slavik etc. :(
You have to already have some spare money to be able to afford them, or when you start from scratch, then you have to start as a gallery submmitter and then eventually invest in domains the income you make..

if you have made less than 2,000 in 4 years you are not taking advantage of all of your opportunities....rule of thumb is to always change, always build...always expand..try new things.

New sponsors..new ways of making galleries...new products etc. continue to buy domains and build on them..link them..

Btw, you're right. All good names were taken 4.5 years ago.. well, most of them.
What we did is learned the drop system and caught most of what we have now with it.
Once in a while we sold a name here and there to finance other purchases.
Is it possible to get into the domain biz today with no money? Absolutely.
Knowledge is 'potential' power.

Interesting...but you're talking only about catching expiring type-in domains ( f.e expiring names with Overture Tool results ) or also expiring names with a good PR and some residual SE traffic :question
I don't know how the expiring domain business looked 4.5 years ago but today it's really crowded and there's no chance you can catch a really good domain, without paying a lot for it, since the two services with the highest success rate - Pool and NW are based on bids. So i am not sure how can someone with no money get into it.

I make most of my money from my two TGPs.

Damn I wish I bought TM3 and Comus(or their equivalents) back when I started...

I started with a freehost, clickzs and time. I actually had to look at my stats and see which thumbs were getting clicks and which weren't. Had to find the category that my visitors liked most.

Its funny that all that micro management is gone...

At that time we didn't use OV tool at all.. just went with stuff that made sense.
We sometimes checked against google to see if the keyword/s are being searched.
Today the drop game is impossible as pool have crazy pricing that won't let you make any money on names without fully using them.
But.. the domain game is bigger then drops. You can put deals for others for a commission, you can buy few from others who has them for yourself for cheap (still possible but hard to find them), you can buy good free names (and they are out there), or you can offer other services to domain owners.

I got into this adult industry because of domains.
I was always interested in domains when i was young and living with my parents, sicne i've heard they are easy cash.
But i realised all the good names are already taken ( perhaps that wasn't the case 5 years ago but i had no deeper knowledge ) so i stopped thinking about it.
Then i heard new extensions are going to be introduced and i got into it but because of some scammers with bogus trademark claims honest people didn't get a chance to register the best names i wanted... like hairloss.info, impotence.info, holiday.info, music.info :D etc...

The registration process was kinda a lottery and i got two adult .info names...but noone wanted to buy them so i started reading about this industry and started doing some little stuff here 2 years ago, still being a full time university student.
Then i spent some cash on some .com domains and alltogether my domains are woth more then a couple of $ hundreds but nothing impressive.
If i got more money to spend, i would buy some more.

Yet it sucks when i see a good name being unused... and there're some typeins that are registered but still not being used, f.e. i almost had bought few months ago a good, brandable adult typein domain for about $2500 and had already plans to sell it for about $20k, so we were close to a deal, but then they said they got some offers which were significantly higher....but now the name is still unused...

The problem with me is that i am quite lazy..maybe because of nationality, lol, ...if it was not the case, i'd make more money with other stuff and then eventually spend more on domains...

When you run a paysite and see single affiliates that can send hundreds of signups a day with ease, TGP and MGP really gets the volume turned down... :glugglug

If you want to make serious cash in this business, galleries can be your starting block... but ultimately, TGP/MGP is not the way to make it.

You cannot say LOTS of people make over 2k+ per day, that's simply not the case.
Out of people who post on this board, maybe 1% makes 2k+ per day.

I would say about 15-20% of people who post here make at least 8k a month.

80% of my income comes from modeling on Playboar

probably true, but $2k per day = $60k per month so i still think that only 1% makes that :D

I'm new. I'm going to approach this like I've approached everything else I've made $$ at. (which affords me the opportunity to sit here. :) )

Persistence, look for a good deal, try new things ALL the time. 1 thing may be a hit on the net while a gazillion others aren't.
