While for the most part I agree that the impact of the goveenment will not be anything as bad as some of the chicken-little folks would have you believe, there is a serious flaw in your logic.

AS best I can tell, your comment is based on the premmis that the US government does things because they make sense. WRONG!

The government does things because they can, they do things to make money (usually not for the country but for those controling it) they do things for spite, they do things for votes, good PR and because someone is bitching at them for something. If they do something that makes sense, it's usually an accident or mistake and there's a fair to good chance they'll fuck it up given half an opportunity.

But remember, I'm the guy who says if the people knew the truth about their government they'd drag their leaders in the street.
