How much do you trust epassporte?

OK, so it seems epassporte is becoming the newer, more efficient, more webmaster friendly version of paypal but how much do you trust them? Would you keep a large amount of money in your account until you withdraw with you electron card?

sumz 06-02-2004 05:00 PM

I places my vote on 80%.
Anything can happen.

EviLGuY 06-02-2004 05:03 PM

Yeah I say 80 too.. I try to keep my account as empty as possible, but I have never had problems with them at all.

Reak 06-02-2004 05:03 PM

100% - Happy to KEEP $10k+ in my account

digifan 06-02-2004 05:03 PM

1001%. :thumbsup

anyone heard of any first hand situations where money has gone missing, been stolen?

I heard something a while ago about a purchase that was made online with someones numbers, but that could happen with any credit card.

I trust epassporte... but, I used to trust Pay Pal too.

freeadultcontent 06-02-2004 05:17 PM

I only trust my money when its in my hands. I have always had a problem leaving more money than I am willing to loose without much sleep loss anywhere that is not insured. Not a knock on epassporte either, was this way with paypal years ago.

Good point, I wanna trust epassporte but I'd be stressing if i kept more than 10k in my account tho... 1k comes and goes... 10k is a nice wad of cash

It's not a matter of trust for me. It's a matter of convenience.

And that's why I use Moneybookers. Much easier to work with ;)

Well, I guess I have a limit like 500$ that I leave in the account and I withdraw everything that's above that limit.

I trust them, but you never know. :2 cents:

Jer 06-03-2004 05:58 AM

I trust 100%, but if you don't use epassporte to pay for services/traffic/domains/affiliates, why keep $10k+ there?

Fabien 06-03-2004 06:12 AM

I withdraw every cents i can each time.

I will never trust anything like this for my entire life.

I'm glade Epassporte exists but i will never leave a balance except 5,24$ or so to keep my account active

submitter 06-03-2004 06:34 AM

Exactly what he said ...

I just received my Electron card... I hope I will not get any problems!

Babaganoosh 06-03-2004 07:17 AM

I trust them. Most of the people there are people I have talked to or dealt with in one way or another over the years.

I am working on setting up a commerce account with them but they are asking for more information than I feel comfortable giving out. I wouldn't give this info to anyone locally, let alone fax it to someone I have never met face to face. I'm sure it has something to do with banking regulations but they aren't getting all of the info they requested.

You won't...unless you actually try to use the card someplace! :1orglaugh

It works fine at ATMs though and that's all that really matters to me.
