Too bad Pridevision didn't get US distribution. It would have ruled gay TV for the last 3 years. It's struggling along as a Canadian-only channel.

MTV seems to have been trying to get the gay crowd behind them for awhile now, all their gay/lesbian rights ads and all that shit. i mean its cool they are trying to help people not fear others over their lifestyle, but they are really pushing it with making a Homosexual 24hour TV network, i would love to see the ads on TV shows for that one....

i suppose this is a 24/7 channel? I've sceen many programs that are geared towards the gay community that air regurally on sat tv..

99% of TV is Hetero TV...

I like the idea of GayTV.. then they can just run all the gay programs on that station and the rest of us dont have to see em.

We've come a long way. I remember when southpark first started there were problems with Big Gay Als big gay boatride, even tv guide wouldn't print that title out.
Now no one cares. it's pretty amazing.

Shit I remember int he 90's there was n o t h i n g gay on tv. There was rupaul and once in a while there'd be a gay guest on a talk show and that was it.

That seems like any easy job for network exec. Simply play American Idol, daytime soap operas, Golden Girls, and that gay makeover show all the time.

i hope we all could be more open minded about it. the world is not made of of only hetero beings. to love only one gender is confining. expect a lot of critiscisms, but i have high regard for gays and lesbians and i advocate this move.
