i need to send sms msgs from the internet to a cell phone in usa...how can I do that?

ICQ used to work here in Australia but it gradually got worse and worse. Now it doesn't work at all, atleast I don't know anyone who has it working.

Yeah ICQ used to work perfectly.. I didn't know they didn't work anymore. I used to send sms messages to New Zealand everyday with no problems.

only if your buddy is down as being on the cell and not on the comp .. so it doesnt work if they stay signed on as normal

Wrong. You can send to any cell phone. Just type the number in and try it.

Good idea. I'm on Tmobile in the USA and they have a webpage for anyone to send an SMS message to any TM subscriber. I'm pretty sure most of the major cell phone carriers has a similar deal.
