Took it from my balcony.. I live on Beach Ave... just a couple blocks from English Bay. That statue is right along the beach.

Elli, no filters... just really zoomed in. There was a break in the clouds where everything above was a nice blue... but below was a firey red like that... so I just keep the camera below that breaking point and the pic turns out like that :)

Figured I'd show what the whole sky looked like... you can see how there's almost a "break" in the sky... where it goes from normal blue... to firey red.

It's kinda neat... if I zoom in and only capture the parts under that breaking point, everything in the pic comes out VERY red.

Tonight's sunset made me feel stoned it was so groovy.

I went for a swim in the ocean just before sunset at English Bay beach tonight. The water temp. was 56 F and I was the only idiot in the water. I got a brain freeze and couldn't stay in that long.

Each time I have been in since I started to swim there last week, I am always the only idiot in there. Sometimes there will be a few thousand people on the beach I imagine, and only me in the water. I guess the extra insulation I have finally has a positive purpose.

It's so beautiful here on the west coast. I live on the Island and we had crazy weather all day, but it was so nice to enjoy such a beautiful sunset with our after-dinner drink last night :)
