ISEARCH toolbar...

Is there anything I need to watchout for while trying to uninstall this piece of shit???

Seeing their business model, I was a little hesitant to download an "uninstaller" but it does do the job without messing up the browser/registry with anti-spyware programs.

I got that a month ago! I don't trust their installer and so, search my registry and manually deleted every instance of isearch. No problems since...:2 cents:

It's a real SOB to get rid of. I ran the usual Adaware, spybot and the hijackthis to rid my pc. I also use symnatec 2004, but not sure what that did to help. I ran each program more than once. Its been awhile, so I don't recall all the details other than I had to hit the web and it took me a couple of hours. Think you'll find some instructions in a google search.

I also went through my registry for instances of Isearch, but they use IP adddresses too and there was anotherURL involved. Can't recall it now without doing some research. I almost pulled a rebuild. MOFOs:321GFY :321GFY

Good luck with it.

BTW, I called them several times when the unistall did NOT work. Just voice mail that was never returned. They did not return email either. I called several times just to stick it back at them. Also emailed the admin as listed in whois.

It's shit like this that really pisses me off! Why the fuck would they do this, does it really make money or just piss people off?

My attack was a little harder to get rid of. Why?? Don't know.

What is really bad is you make it to say No. 6 on a keyword on google and the three in front of you have popup dialer loops and isearch....

One more thing, google engineering offered to help if I sent them a copy of hijacthis results.

Damn nice of them to offer, but had killed by the time i got there email.

I don't know if they make money with this shit or not but I would LOVE to get ahold of one of their little scripters in a dark alley. That shit makes me mad enough I could chew nails...

I used it cause I couldnt find it in my registry, and I havent had it since. I did find it funny that they leave you a place to comment and apologize if the tool bar was put on your computer maliciously :321GFY
