windows downloads how do i run more than

Which windows downloads? Are you talking about the windows update page

Use Netscape or a download manager. I haven't figured out a way around it either and actually like IE enough not to switch.

Are you trying to download 2 items at once or am I totally off?

I think he's trying to download more than 2 items at once using Internet Explorer. It's evidently a common problem that IE won't let you make more than two simultaneous connections to the same site.

there was a trheat somewhere about this, you could change some register keys and max 4 diownloads then or so. You can use a download manager too:)

Cool - that's what I thought - I'm trying to find a way to search for the thread that LANE made on how to change your settings so you can do more than one download simultaneously.

well i have downloaded 4-6 items at once, with IE..

he needs program liek flashget where you can add links and download them all at once.

It's a very simple setting you have to change (but if I could only remember it) heheh, LANE posted this in October or November......hopefully someone has it saved somewhere????

There may be a simpler way, I'm pretty sure that when I did this in the past it was just a case of changing a key's value from "2" to "10" or whatever.
