WOW interesting way to protect images

IMDB.com all their images now if you right click and save as try to open the image

anyone know how this is done?

im sure there will be a way around it, very interesting though.

ahh.. pretty slick. One of those "why didn't I think of that" things.

Sure people can find a work around but it'll slow things down to become a complete pain in the ass.

i can right click save as images on that page.

I can download the pics as well, but when you open them it only shows a white dot instead of the actual pic.

I could save all pics in a heart bit being on a mac.

I have put images in a table background and then slap a clear gif over it, not sure if this is the same method.

And actually its cool if you put your url on the clear gif, over the pic too.

Some things never stop to amaze me.

I have first used this trick back in 98 and I am amazed how many people have never seen this done. I should have patented it :winkwink: (No it was not my idea)
