Fucking Airline Price insanity Due to The Goverment !!!!!

Just checked the price for the flight to Ft Lauderdale for Internext price of the flight $183.00 cdn. Taxes and Charges $181cdn FUCKING RIDICULOUS !!! The taxes are as much as the flight it self. Money ripping off Fucking bastards. They wonder why they cant get people flying again ??? Check the Prices:321GFY :BangBang:

crockett 05-31-2004 03:28 PM

with current gas prices and not even taking the amount of time you would lose.. how much do you think it would cost to drive it. My guess would be roughly the same amount.

Airplanes aren't cheap and all the shit they have to do security wise today doesn't make it any cheaper.

Illicit 05-31-2004 03:29 PM

stop your bitchin and just pay the man

not counting the time, it would only cost $250 US return for gas or less even with the prices the way they are. I can Drive it in 22-23hrs driving time

jm_247live 05-31-2004 03:32 PM

It actually would cost me alot to more to drive than fly from philly check www.usa3000.com I don't know where else they fly out of

candyflip 05-31-2004 03:38 PM

You could fly into a bigger Florida city and drive. Just a thought for cutting the cost. Lots of dirt cheap flights to Orlando.

bluedevil 05-31-2004 03:39 PM

i'd rather drive there

Ross 05-31-2004 03:39 PM

That sucks balls, especially for you JFK. You must rack up a lot of airmiles.

Nope NO airmiles..............I always pick the cheapest availble airline NO loyalty. I had airmiles before, then they go bankrupt and what have you gained ? They talk about Terrorism........Well this is Terrorism as well, Economic terrorism, and there is nothing you can do about it. Take it or leave it . They wonder why airlines go Bankrupt, and they go for government handouts, so you get fucked twice as hard.

ajpiii.........just for your info....Its Not what you make but what you keep, when you grow up you will realise that:2 cents:

WiredGuy 05-31-2004 04:12 PM

Who did you get a quote from JFK? I'd be happy to pay those rates after seeing some of the quotes.

if thats the price it costs, bitchin on the gfy isnt going to change it. Pay what it costs, or get in your car and drive.

Maybe you should sell you Jaguar if you cannot afford airline tickets!

:)

I do agree with you in general about gov'ts taxing people way to much on all levels!

Its Not a matter of affordability........ It just really irks the shit out of me............ and If I want to bitch about it on GFY I will......Keeping it inside will do no good .....might as well make everyone else miserbale as well......As they say misery loves company:winkwink:

riosluts 05-31-2004 04:37 PM

Damn that really must suck. But how much would the taxes cost on a $3000 flight. Maybe there is just some $150 fee + % of plane ticket. So on a $3000 flight the taxes might cost only about $200.

GTS Mark 05-31-2004 05:25 PM

JFK why not just drive down to Buffalo and then fly? It might be considerably cheaper and the drive to Buffalo is only 2 hours.

Patriot Act Fees make George Bush smile.

Easton 05-31-2004 05:27 PM

we just paid C$527 for Montreal-Phoenix for our departure June 7th

i was happy with that price... but the extra shit on top of the ticket really adds up

they'd be better off not breaking it down like that

baddog 05-31-2004 05:31 PM

Yup frequent flier programs are getting shittier every year. Some airlines even have a yearly fee to join their program now.

Just get the cheapest ticket and charge it with a credit card/bank that has a rewards program that is independent of airline with no blackouts :thumbsup
