pisses me off like hell, was at macd yday german guy there flashed his black amex to a 15yo bimbo she knew zit ofcourse, so i wondered who has one ? make me feel miserable cuz i dont :(

i thought the black card was invitation only and only the uber rich had them

true inv only 2500/yr 150k plus here dunno bout the US though, so anyone know JLO or Arnold and got one ?

Black card is no big deal these days, I know at least 5 guys with them. The white cards however....

The black card has gotten bigger and bigger in the past years. And what is so great about it? The damn thing costs 2500 a year in fees, why the hell do you need it? Its not all that special, the benefits do not at all match the costs. Ok, you get a bunch of platinum and gold cards for free, but do you have that many kids that you want to be able to spend $50k a day? :)

An AMEX Gold is great already.

If you need a black peice of plastic to feel good, I feel sorry for yourself.

Is the black worth getting? I haven't really bothered with it, as my Amex gold does everything I need.

What are the extra benefits of the Black card ?

Also what is the White card? Never heard anything about an Amex white. Wonder if I make enough to get one ? ;)

i don't understand how someone could give a damn about a ccard. big deal. i get my monster airmiles, other than that i could care less.

Who needs Black....In America what you really need is a GREEN CARD if you know what I mean and its not MAEX...the INS issues it :thumbsup

I dont have credit cards PERIOD. I have one fake mastercard that takes funds out of my chequing account, but thats it.
I dont have a need for them. I have enough on my credit report, and its one less bill in the mail for me to pay every month.
I probably wouldnt even have my fake mastercard if I wasnt in this biz. Gotta pay for things online somehow....

Yep. The only reason I have a credit card is to pay for things online. I rarely use it outside of internet usage. It's all about cash.

Some people need exotic cars for status, others huge homes, others a black Amex. Go figure.

There are a few nice benefits to the black amex. Whether or not those benefits are worth $2500 depends on who you ask.

How do you get one? It's pretty strait forward. You have to be an amex cardholder for at least 2 years, and have spent a minimum of $150k on the card on travel and high end retail goods (i.e. gucci, armani etc.) within a 12 month peroid.

The best benefit of the card is that you get top teir status on about 8 airlines and all major hotels. Not that it really matters. If you have a black amex, you can just afford to pay for first class and the pres. suite anyway.

ah k so all the nice waiting suites at the airports well it helps if you get some extra service ...
