Any solid stats on popup blocker usage?
Anyone have any reliable stats on what percentage of porn surfers today are using popup blockers?

The only numbers I have ever seen were in this article which says at least 25% of surfers use them and also gives info on a workaround

PHP Code:
remove the *-* from the code for it to work :) |
If there are any solid stats they aren't easy to find. I do however get 1/3rd the amount of console pops as I do unique visitors to one of my fake TGPs.

It's only a matter of time before hiding code in img tags and the like doesn't work.. google toolbar even stops flash from activating the new window command for fucks sake. I saw somewhere that put code on every link on the site so that if they navigated at all it popped with a cookie control so you didn't get a pop every link.. but i think that might have still been an img tag workaround.. |

"While advertisers such as Orbitz have built businesses thanks to pop-up barrages, service providers such as EarthLink, AOL and MSN -- plus toolbars from Google and Yahoo -- have touted their pop-up blockers. But even with those offerings, Jupiter estimates that only 20 percent of surfers use them." |
