I had 5 weeks back there in March.
It is a beautiful city.
I have heard a lot of people say it is like San Diego except cheaper, cleaner and friendlier.
I loved San Diego but would have to agree. :)

that thread pretyy much covered it.I used to teach yoga in Nimbin.Its the most depressing town I have ever seen.You can't beat Nthn NSW or SE QLD though WA has some great beaches.
Its hard and expensive to get 5 acres on the beach but a little inland (2K)is affordable.

Can you suggest some nice places in WA. I have been looking at the sunshine coast and it looks amazing and not too expensive.

The boys from WA would be better qualified.I haven't been there for 30 years but I used to live on the beach at Broome before it became a tourist resort.
Other great beaches I saw were Kalbarri,Geraldton and surrounding areas and then down south of Perth around Margaret River.
