Really overweight friend went on diet
Only did two changes to his normal food intake. He cut out all products with high fructose corn syrup and also regular corn syrup.
He has been on this diet now for 6 months and is finally able to add in some excersise ontop of the new food rules he follows. Before his knees where to bad to allow it. So far to date without any excersise he has lost over 145 pounds. I am positive it will increase for him even faster now that he can take some walks. So what do you all think? |
Processed sugar is pretty bad.. your body converts that shit to fat with no problems at all.
When you are hugely fat though.. small changes can make a big difference.. its the last 20-30 pounds that are the struggle in my experience. |
It sounds good!
Just keep the encouragement up, and even take him for a walk. Keep the pounds rolling off! |
That's excellent. It's amazing what a difference diet makes. Take out the sugar and you eliminate huge amounts of calories, while bumping up your metabolism! Good for you friend, keep up the good work!

Thats awesome, congrats to your friend. :)

wow!!! 145 pounds....congrats to him.
How much did he weigh in the first place? Also when losing so much weight its probably a good idea to consult a doctor :2 cents: |
tell him to eliminate processed fats also. Anything that says "partially hydrogenated" and he will see even better results
|
Im pretty happy for him. I am sure he will not mind those last 30 pounds or so. He just wants to get out of the "you will die soon" zone.
Also since this was not a big change to his normal diet, he has stayed very damn happy. He thought about doing the whole atkins thing and a few others, but knew in his heart he would miss to many foods he loved. Not to mention he did bring up a pretty valid point. He has never really seen many overweight Asians or Italians in their native country where carb intake is very high. |
congrats

He has been seeing a doctor. They had him try pills and shit first, total waste of time. The doctor is following the results though. |
