My thoughts are that the goth/vamp/metal girl niche is still relatively untapped, and there is money to be made.

I got 82K to put somewhere.
But I do not count on that nest egg to go towards openning another lousy afiliates program on the net unless its an unmistakable track record of the potential "Other(s)" in a venture.

I'm loving it! Costs are cheap for almost everything, while quality is surprisingly high :thumbsup

I have a nice 4-room apartment in a good area for $300 USD / mth. Food is mostly from local produce, which tastes great but is dirt cheap.

Edit: Forgot to answer yuour medical question. I havent needed it myself yet, but form what I hear it's great they have clean, well-run facilities that don't cost much, with highly-trained staff.

As for selling the domain, I'm holding off on that unless I find there is no way this project will get done anytime soon.

No taxes =)....employees here pay like 9% or something for medical insurance, but for companies, any money received from outside the country is tax-free!

They have a wide selection of beaches, some for partying others for surfing....Beautiful country!

Internet isn't a big problem, I have 512kps connection cable at home. PC stuff there are tons of stores, Intel is also based here.

I could probably work something out with my boss ot use our company's resources in getting my sites up and running, however 1) he's not always very easy to work with and 2) he has no interest in this niche at all....

I think I'd rather keep it seperate and not mix my business and company business :2 cents:

What made you decide to move there? Is speaking Spanish a necessity? Do you live in a highly American populated area or is it just a general part of town?

My boss came here few times on vacation, loved it (and the tax free part) and decided to move operations here. I came on vacation to check it out, loved it, so decided to make the move!

I've learnt about 75% understand 45% speaking of Spanish...it's not required but very helpful, and impresses the girls ;p

I'm in the university area about 10 mins from downtown, so most people living around me are spanish, mostly students.
