I'm proud of my niece.
 

She turned 18 last Sunday...tonight is prom..and on June 7th she graduates in spite of the lackluster involvement in her life by both her parents.

She decided to pass on College and instead is going straight into Nursing school in July.

While her grades were not always the best, she still tried her hardest...I just wish the best for her and hope she continues to make wise choices.

Yeah I am. She and her sister have been living with me on and off for going on 11 years and even though sometimes I feel like I missed out by not living my life as I would have and instead making choices based upon what would be in their best interests...I don't think I would change a thing other than being more patient and understanding.

I don't think you missed out on anything of importance. What you gained by being there for them is far more satisfying than most things in life. I applaud you for the courage it took to care for them when they needed it.

My one neice wants to be a vet, the other one is going to join some branch of the Military, and see the world. The one that wants to be a vet is only 14 the other that wants to join the Military shes coming up on 16 this summer.

Yeah...tonight's prom. I haven't decided what to get her for her graduation present...but I am throwing a big dinner party for her and all her family coming from out of town.

Madonna at MGM tonight and tomorrow and Prince etc at Mandalay Bay tonight and tomorrow, not sure about tickets etc. Britney is coming August 14.
