Once you get used to it you can't go back down without feeling vulnerable.

Explorers even with Good Year tires have the worst roll over rates.

http://www.cnn.com/2000/US/10/09/bri...explorer.reut/

"The Ford Explorer has a higher rate of tire-related accidents than other sport utility vehicles, even when fitted with Goodyear tires and not the Firestone tires that have been linked to 101 deaths nationwide, The Washington Post reported on Monday, citing an analysis of national and Florida crash statistics."

the handling of the car is off the hook, making turns are very awkward for now but it handles great on the road.Rollovers slightly concern me though

Amp 05-29-2004 02:01 PM

no time at all. But then my SUV was a little larger than the civilian versions.

So damn true - you feel like you're on a tricycle once you drive a car again.

Anyhow took me about 2 days.

TDF 05-29-2004 08:06 PM

riosluts 05-29-2004 08:17 PM

i have never driven an SUV so i dont know how high one can be.

SureFire 05-29-2004 08:27 PM

Before I lifted mine, I had full roll cage installed and long arms. I still won't drive it like a sports car.

holly shit - that's not a sleeper - that's a god damn apartment!!!

cosis 05-29-2004 08:31 PM

I went from a 83 olds cutlass supreme to a brand new 4runner in 2000 - needless to say it took a few months to get use too

Furious_Male 05-29-2004 08:36 PM

My daily driver is fairly big 03 F250 Fx4. It sits up higher then most SUVs I love it. Then in the weekend I get in my z06 which is so low to the ground the difference is freakish. You get used to being able to see everything so high up. In cars you miss that luxury.

smokingdawn 05-29-2004 08:41 PM

That is an awesome rig!

Sosa 05-29-2004 08:54 PM

I love my suv. I can hardly drive a normal car now.

Congradulations player!

:thumbsup

StRoGE 05-29-2004 09:00 PM

I prefer being low to the ground in a car. I feel more "in touch" with the road. Sure I may not be able to see overtop of the cars infront of me all the time, but you get used to looking through their windshield.
I didnt like switching from my car to my truck. I got used to it, but I still prefer the low down feeling of a dropped car.

Screaming 05-29-2004 09:54 PM

wont take you long and you wont even notice it doesnt bother you anymore, or at least that is how it was with me

aaron 05-29-2004 10:00 PM
