Does your dog run in his sleep?

My shepherd was just doing a full on gallop while he is sound asleep next to my desk.

Funny as hell. He was even making growling expressions with his lips.

Guess he was chasing someone in his sleep.

mary34d 05-29-2004 12:16 PM

mine whimpers

Gheenz 05-29-2004 12:16 PM

Mine always barks, grunts, and snores in her sleep. I'm presuming the barking and grunting are during doggy nightmares. :1orglaugh

Yeh, all four legs started moving and his tail too. Maybe he was having nightmares, cause he was pulling up his lips like he does when he's in attack mode.

Weird.

Yep; it would be very interesting if somehow science could figure out what goes on in animals minds; especially domesticated ones. They all have their own personalities and do quirky things, so you know something more is going on up there.

Pookie does all kinds of things in his sleep. Sighs, whines, whimpers, barks, licks his chops, runs, shakes, etc. My cats do it too. Their lips make smacking noises, pretty funny.

wyldblyss 05-29-2004 01:40 PM

I hear mine cry once in a while...and one tends to snore..no running though

cherrylula 05-29-2004 01:42 PM

Yeah my dog does that too. He also growls and barks in the middle of the night and wakes us all up when he has bad dreams. And he snores really loud. :1orglaugh

SlickRick 05-29-2004 01:43 PM

My dog used to do that too. I have noticed lately that my cat she has been running while she naps, it is pretty funny to watch. I really wonder what they are deaming...
