What kind of sites do you think you should use a black background on / dark feeling?

black background sucks, its too dark here

You might have your brightness on too high?

I'm not sure it's common that black is better, as white text on darker backgrounds can be harder to read compared to black text on lighter backgrounds..

i use black bgrds alot. (white backgrounds for teens/amatures.)

Do you not find it hard on your eyes, and so likely also on your surfers eyes? :)

The new trend is paster or white which can be neutral... black still has that sinful touch I think :)

Most of my sites have it..I like it Renegade

I personally prefer black backgrounds on everything simply because i find it easier on the eyes, although when it comes to design, I don't like it on things like teen sites etc.

I agree. For a while I used to use Windows with a black background theme, so Word and everything was all black with white text. Much better on the eyes.

I have seen studies that said white on black is harder on the eyes. and just my opinion but people read faster and easier if it is what they are used to. White background black text here.

For sure ....... In my book any resource board that I like to read often the black background does help.
