how often are you supposed to feed a cat?
 

I feed this mother fucker like 7 times a day.. she's like 3x bigger than all the neighborhood cats, i want to feed her properly from now on, how often should i feed her?

in the am when you wake and the pm before you go to sleep

make sure that it has a shitload of water throughout the day though

My wife said the same thing if the cat is fat. You should get a Diet/low fat food no wet food. Only twice a day at the most.

Oh she owns a pet store and has lots of cats she knows a lot about cats. We even have 2 servals in our house.

Only feed your cat 2x a day. Morning and Evening, plus keep lots of fresh water available. On the back of most bags it will say how much food your cat should have for their weight, and if your cat is on the fat side definately go with a weight management food for cats. The bigger your cat gets the shorter it's lifespan gets.

Cats can't feed themselves. When morons who shouldn't have been allowed the responsibility of a pet in the first place drop them off in the country to get rid of them the cat usually dies. They can catch something here or there but unless they're wild from birth they're not up to living solely on what they can catch. They have to be trained into it from birth or they're just not good enough.

We have a Bengal cat that has food in its bowl at all times. Our Bengal though is a grazer....only eats a little bit at a time. The cat is very long and skinny...so we need to keep the food out to make sure when it decides it is hungry there is food there for him.
