I Just Tried out a new maid and she was Awful!
A friend gave her a great referral and I was hoping she'd do a stellar job. I just got home and my place looks nearly the same as when I left, only I'm out $50.
I don't want to fire her because she was referred by a friend but I can't pay $50 a week for a half-assed job. What should I do? |
did you take before and after pics?

Maybe she was really there to polish your knob:Graucho
|
is she good for content? :1orglaugh
but seriously, you might want to give her a last chance and it doesn't hurt if you mention to her where did she fell short. im pretty sure she can start doing things much better from there :thumbsup |
just talk to her about that half assed job, if she straightens up, then good, if she quits, then it wasnt your fault
|
nice, now refer her to others as well
|
you should just be straight forward and say something fuck that man if you gonna pay for someone to do the job they should do it up to your standards if you feels shes' not doing sufficent enough amount of cleaning tell her wat the deal i want this done like this this like this if she bitches then tell her she's done, you pay her to clean your house so it should be done they way you want
|
i would never trust a stranger to fondle and re-arrange my things. i don't care how much money i might have.

its called clean your own house!
|
fire her ass! Maids should be pros and make your place spotless!
No excuses, that's their job. |
Bev once asked me to help her with the house work so i hired a maid. she was unhappy with her work and called the company to have her replaced.
unfortunately it happens the second one was better sometimes you have to make the call. |
Well, she might have been working all that time you were gone, you are just not looking close enough. If you are a typical guy you don't look at the finer details......cleaning the toilet would be cleaning the bowl to you.....she might have spent a lot of time cleaning both inside, outside...and around the toilet.
If you haven't had a house cleaner before...there might be a lot of the nitty gritty stuff you never notice like baseboards that need cleaner. As your house improves you might notice she gets more things done. Give her a bit before you pass judgement. If she came highly recommended then chances are it is because she doesn't gloss over...she gets down and does the dirty work. |
Well usually a person who does this for a living will come out and charge you mabye $80-$100.00 and do a thorough cleaning..and then come back for maintenance work at $50 a day.
That's always been my experience. |
How many hours does she work for $50? Seems cheap.
|
you are fired
|
Give her referrals to other friends. Maybe she has a revshare program.

Thats the ticket. yeah if it was her first day she probably just fixed everything she thought was all nasty. give her 6 weeks and tell her what you want done. I gave my maid 2 months and then replaced her cause she couldn't remember to take the couch apart and vacuum under the cushions |
