I message my husband on AIM or ICQ all the time. In my case I think it is ok though. Our house is big and I tend to stay in the breakfast room on my laptop and he is usually at the other end of the house, one floor up in the office. He wouldn't hear me if I called out to him and the amount we communicate, I would never get anything accomplished if I was walking to the office constantly.

IMing is cool, what were talking bout here is couples who post messages to each other on GFY. Its just annoying.
