when osama said he would destroy the US he didn't mean literally ....

as most of the mainstream media and idiots here thought. his plan is to take back saudia arabia, the worlds largest oil reserves and the holy sites of islam. just watch and see, al qaeda is at war against a large part of the saudi royal family and it's about to get ugly. that is part of why we took iraq to control the worlds 2nd largest oil reserves but king george lied to us.

I used to know a Saudi guy that was studying in the states (scholarship from government). He said the royal family is around 20.000 people and they take the almost %50 of the total oil wealth. He said people are getting really mad at the family, because they are living such wealthy life and not giving a fuck about the rest of the country.

Also, he said the only reason US army is there because Saudi Arabia has a very small army. According to him, the king prefers american army to protect the country instead of a building a strong saudi army, because he knows that once the amry is strong, they are more likely to take over and kick the king out.

The anger againist the royal family is getting bigger and bigger there, and it probally will come to a point that it cannot be stopped.

actually as it is right now the royal family is spilt and the king being alive is all that's holding it together. the pro US half of the family is in charge of the national army, however the highest ranking member of the saudi royal family that is anti US is in charge of the national guard.

what hasn't been talked about is that the nationa guard has been built up and better equipped than the army. the royal family is raping the country of all it's wealth while unemployment and income has dropped in huge amounts there. at the same time they push their wahabi islam on the people and have a religious police just as vicious as the taliban.

it's going down and saudia arabia is the real hotspot in the middle east. they have interballistic missles, working on a nuke, tons of money and the holy sites. bin laden is aiming to take over there, and when the king dies, it's going to get ugly and that's very soon.

My guess is that if Binny takes over Saudi Arabia he will cut off the supply of oil to the US as a way to continue his attack on us. Who cares if it is about oil, these people (and not all of them) are bad people and as a country founded on allowing anyone to come in and make a life for themselves it is our duty to help those countries that can not stand up to their repressive government.

This does not mean that our government went about this in the right way nor does it mean that we live in a repressive-free country but as a free country the people have the choice to re-elect our leaders or not.

That is a luxury that most countries can not enjoy.

Lykos 05-29-2004 12:10 PM

All that sucks together with that idiot Bush:2 cents:

Gheenz 05-29-2004 12:14 PM

Why would Bin Laden want to take such a high profile stance in "taking over" Saudi Arabia? I would think terrorists would want to remain "countryless" and stay hidden in caves. It has been effective so far.

Weird, considering that Saudi Arabia spends $17 billion/year on the military. I mean even Iran spends less, $9 billion/year.

They're working on a nuke? Who told you that? There's no way the US would allow this to happen. They can barely control there own country anymore, and al-Qaeda is waging a guerilla war on them and yet they're working on nukes?

almighty 05-29-2004 12:25 PM

america needs to tell them all to fuck off and start drilling offshore from texas and use some of the oil from alaska then our goddamn gas prices could go way down and stay but there is about a much of chance for that as there is for bush to tell the truth about anything

His organisation is pretty much trying to take out any head of state. Tried to take out Gadhafi in 2001 and then they went after Saudi Arabia and Syria and Pakistan and who knows how many more? Not all of them are gonna publicly declare that Al-Qaeda tried to kill them.

They're pretty much after everyone.

they're working on, as well as funding several countries efforts.
