I overheard my girlfriends mom talking about something that worries me.
 

I always thought her mom was such a sweetheart, until today.

My girl's mom called her from her work. Her mom was going up to see her boyfriend tonight. For some reason, she told him she WASN'T working, which she was. This is what I heard...

"Tell him I left a while ago and I should have been there by now (2 hr drive)" while she was AT work!

Now, this fuckin worries me, cuz my girl seems to take on after her mom A LOT. And I don't even get what the hell she's lying for, she seems to do this quite a bit.

"If boyfriend name calls, i'm not here", "tell him I went out for a coffee" etc. Her mom's coworker was actually talking to me about how she makes everybody lie for her to him.

My view of her has been changed from sweet lady to phsyco instantly.

oh yeah, and when I asked my girlfriend about why she did that, she's just like "why do you care?" or why does that bother you or something like that.

It did piss me off... but this conversation was over the phone and I let her go because she was really tired and not feeling well so I didn't wanna "start shit".

I have squashed my beef with my ex-wife's mother but she and I both know that she's a lying conniving sonofabitch.

Sounds like a pathelogical liar. Hard to know unless you have access to other people who are around her and have noticed the lying as well.

I'd watch it. If your g/f thinks it's completely acceptable for her mom to lie like this, then I would wonder if she thinks it's acceptable for her to do it too! You always have to be careful when you know someone doesn't find anything wrong with those kind of lies!
