Can you give us a rundown on what other movies you enjoyed before? That way, we'll be able to have an idea on your taste.
|
They had scientists talking about the chances of this natural disaster happening. Talk about free press. I hear the movie has its moments.
|
damn I thought this would be one of the good ones with special efx and keep you on the edge of your seat till the end :(

The Armageddon-Core seemed better then this flick.. If it is hot where you are and want a quick freeze then this movie is for you, otherwise wait to rent it.. the movie seemed like it was made for TV with a BLAST of Hollywood Splash of FX... also it teaches you how to "bond" if you were a busy parent. |

If you like Hollywood shit, you'll love it. Otherwise avoid this movie at all costs. |

Ok. Now you've convinced me. I'll wait for the dvd. Thanks. :) |
Well, I won't wait for the DVD.. but I sure as hell won't go waiting on line to see it either. I'll wait about 10 days then go see it and the theater will be almost empty. :)

Went to see it last night also.
Thought some of it was ok (obviously the special effects in it were pretty good) but for the most part there just wasn't anything all that exciting. Why oh why these movies always need the hero part i'll never know. Just have a disaster movie. People will appreciate it more than having some poor actors playing the hero part. So exactly how far did that boys dad walk anyway ? And for all the other people heading 'South' by walking, exactly how many miles did they expect to walk ? Isn't that like me here in Scotland saying i'm gonna start heading for Spain by foot ?? :eek7 |

pls stop making the 10. thread about this horrible movie :/

I've seen the movie today. Well, I liked it. Nice effects, some funny moments and quite real threat... One of the films I enjoyed :thumbsup
By the way, "The Independence Day" looks similar to this movie... Roland Emmerich's unique style? :) |
It's not often I can watch a propaganda film and be converted by the message; in fact, to date this is a first. I went to see this movie yesterday, and despite the fact that the little black girl of about 9 who was seated behind me informed her parents in a very loud and angry voice that "It [the movie] wasn't tight -- it was stupid and boring" (a sentiment most of the theatre agreed with, judging by their (and my) laughter), I was swayed by the power of the special effects.
That's right, I am now a believer in global warming -- a condition which will destroy both New York and Los Angeles, the former under a 50 foot flood and the latter by means of a super-tornado. And the Japs? They killed our boys in the great World War II, so guess whether or not I'll grin when they get bombarded with cocunut-sized hail. Don't bray your irrelevent physics at me -- I saw the movie -- it says hail can get that big, so God-willing I can produce enough pollution to get the job done. I used to hold out hope that an alternative fuel source to petroleum would be developed so we could cripple the economy of terror in the Middle East, but this solution, Pro-Pollution, is better. My new mantra: Pro-Pollution -- The Global Solution! (What do you think? Of course I didn't pay to go see it, you idiot.) |
part 2 will be the "the day before yesterday"
