Which Anti Virus software do you use?

Norton
McAfee
PC-cilllan - TrendMicro
ZoneAlarm
AVG - Grisoft
Panda
avast
Whatever's free
Whatever I can steal on Kazaa

Just curious, I like Norton but I'm looking to find something better - thoughts?

scottie0779 05-28-2004 08:55 PM

I use Norton AV '04 in combination with Lavasoft Adaware to catch the crap Norton misses. Then again, i'm also a Symantec Software Partner (dealer) so i'm a tad biased ;)

stev0 05-29-2004 01:14 AM

I use norton and zone alarm... but zone alarm isn't anti-virus software as far as i know, it's just a software based firewall.

wielco 05-29-2004 01:38 AM

Norton is ok to me....

pimplink 05-29-2004 01:38 AM

It's either Norton or McAfee for me.

Only the inept and unsavvy install virus checkers.

You don't need them. Here's and idea...
- don't click on email attachments
- don't click on pirate software
- buy a router
- keep WindowsXX updated

Then you to may run a faster machine void of virus checkers and
software firewalls. If you must pirate then scan it with this
http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx
before you click on it. The trouble with most of you now a days is you click first
then you cry about getting infected. Click click click click click click click click.
For once in your lame miserable boxed-vision lives try scan with the online
scanner first, then click.

VCs and software firewalls are for scared little old ladies and n00bs.

Get a grip.

No shit, I'm convinced that Symantec hires all these kids to write these exploits to cash in.

I just installed f-secure and it's seems pretty cool so far.

Kaspersky doesn't load, McAfee misses loads of shit, AVG is like a blind guy driving a truck - it can't see shit!

Samantha_xox2000 05-30-2004 01:01 PM

Norton rules !! :thumbsup

tahiti 05-30-2004 08:17 PM
