yeah I converted some cash at 1.39 at the bank the other week.

I have a US account because otherwise the bank charges me $5 per US cheque. The US dollar doesn't help much when it comes time to pay the rent .. but it is nice to keep some cash saved until the Canadian dollar starts sucking more again.

You know George Bush is proud of this news. He believes a weak dollar is good. That is part of his strategy. He also proudly claimed that he knew gas prices would shoot up after invading Iraq.

This is sort of like bragging that you knew you were going to get and "F" on a test in school.

I dont understand why guys are sad about the exchange rate. Canadian webmasters make 30-40% MORE MONEY than everyone else when you cash your checks.

Imagine how much it must suck to be a european webmaster and be upside down everytime you get a check.

I'd think you'd all be happy. What I missing?

Remember when it was up over 50% a few years ago? Damn, cashing checks was like Christmas! Then the dollar went down and it felt like someone robbed you.
