UPS terrorists

I got this in an email today, I dunno how true it is, but it's worth a read anyway.

Government Warning regarding purchase of UPS
uniforms:
There has been a huge purchase, $32,000 worth, of
United Parcel Service
(UPS) uniforms on eBay over the last 30 days. This
could represent a
serious threat as bogus drivers (terrorists) can
drop off anything to anyone
with deadly consequences! If you have ANY questions
when a UPS driver
appears at your door, they should be able to furnish
VALID I.D
Additionally, if someone in a UPS uniform comes to
make a drop off or pick
up, make absolutely sure they are driving a UPS
truck. UPS doesn't make
deliveries or pickups in anything, except a company
vehicle
If you have a problem, IMMEDIATELY call your local
law enforcement agency
right away!
TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY! Tell everyone in your office,
your family, your
friends, etc. Make people aware so that we can
prepare and/or avoid
terrorist attacks on our people! Thank you for your
time in reviewing this
and PLEASE send to EVERYONE on your list, even if
they are friend or foe. We
should all be aware!

It said at the top that it was an internal memo or something. It wasn't from the government.

You should keep these thoughts to yourself and not post them in an open and public forum :2 cents:

Just read this book "Delivery"... its all about how terrorists could ship a bomb through UPS!

"How long before anti-American terrorists get their hands on nuclear warheads? In Jones's unnervingly plausible first novel, a technologically sophisticated group named Ost-Sturm (east storm) stages a daring, surprisingly easy heist of seven bombs being transported by truck convoy to Amarillo, Tex. Felix Ross masterminds and orchestrates the operation for the pleasure of humiliating the lax peacetime army; also involved are a nuclear physicist, a computer whiz, various revolutionaries, miscellaneous ex-soldiers, thugs and wanton killers. While the first bomb wipes out a desolate army base, the remaining warheads are delivered via Federal Express to major cities across America. The president of the U. S. is a fundamentalist Christian who hastens--and welcomes--Judgment Day by demoting anyone with brains or professional expertise. Secret agent Bill Hitch and his associates are responsible for the insights and heroic exploits that counteract the terrorists in this well-crafted, if formulaic novel, enhanced by Jones's impressive knowledge of military procedure. "

fyi... that chain mail thing has been going around for months now, so i think most people have already seen it ;)

billywatson 05-27-2004 02:17 PM

I dunno you guys...have you sent anything UPS lately? I'll bring even the smallest shit in there to send, and they open it, inspect it...the whole nine yards....

Whatever the Bush admin says about terrorists is just meant to scare you and make it look like they're doing something. The attack that is probably coming is going not going to be anything they describe, and once again they're not going to do the first thing to stop it. :helpme

I cant believe people who make their living off of their computer would actually fall for something in a stupid chain letter. It's old, and it's false.
