Bulk traffic. How to design for it? How does it work?
Hi :)
I know bulk traffic comes from a lot of different sources such as popups, popunders, blind links, etc. But on what kind of sites do these things are used? What kind of visitors can one expect? How to design for it? If it's a popunder, which size does that have? There is so many one needs to know, but I have not found any bulk traffic seller willing to answer these questions. Maybe the majority are just resellers and simply do not know... |
The idea with bulk traffic (exits, popunders) is to scrub and filter the traffic.
Generally, you want to seperate the freeloaders from the ones that you have a chance of selling to. Once you've done that, give the potential customers what they want to see. It easier said than done. We've had good success using a "fake TGP" to send the traffic to, as our filtering mechanism. (Trade the freeloaders, sell the customers). I've seen others use a multi-page approach, that seems to be equally effective. There's no secret formula; it's a matter of trial and error to come up with the best solutions. And, remember, one person's "freeloader" is another person's "perfect client". |
