How do you manage your passwords to all the sponsors ?

Do you use 1 password for everything ?

I had to make a text file with all my sponsors and their login info cause I always forget my logins/passwords.

hahaha, you'd be surprised how many people do that.

I used to use 1 password for everything but then figured it was sptupid and switched to text file with everything.

Yuppers. Excell!

Herb Kornfield 05-27-2004 05:10 AM

Create a file in outlook for the sponsor, then make a rule in outlook to dump all the sponsors mail into their folder automatically.

Every piece of info is there from day1 and you never loose any information from the sponsor from day1.

That works too, but I like to be able to print all my passwords out so I have a hardcopy incase of a computer crash.

TheFrog 05-27-2004 05:57 AM

I keep my signup mails in my mailbox, which is backed up every couple of weeks, so its pretty safe.

The main problem is that ARS and a few other sponsors mails dont seem to reach me, so those details have to be kept elsewhere at the moment, although as I type, I figured I could just e-mail them to myself and store it that way.

or you could use statsremote. works great for checking stats and keeping passwords.

eroswebmaster 05-27-2004 06:13 AM

I have them tatooed on the inside of my eyelids.

WiredGuy 05-27-2004 06:15 AM

Stored under comment fields within accounting software. I rarely need it though, I tend to be a stats addict and memorize them pretty well.

I have to "join" all my .txt password files into one. I have like 4 of them. But I put something like

gspotmoney.com - username: godisbrazilian / password: partygoat

I do that with all the sponsors, boards, software, e-mail accounts...

xxxoutsourcing 05-27-2004 06:42 AM

php/mysql locally on a form input for quick insertion and ability to search.

FrankWhite 05-27-2004 07:12 AM

SmutGiant 05-27-2004 07:13 AM

I have a little html page that I made with everything and have a link straight to the stats for programs I check often (ie username:[email protected]/members). One click stat checking :thumbsup . I should print out that list though, I have over 60 different sponsors on that page and if my machine crashed I'd go nuts.

pradaboy 05-27-2004 07:20 AM

notepad does great for me :thumbsup

psili 05-27-2004 07:30 AM

I use mySQL to store every piece of affiliate info: username, password, banner image, blah blah blah.

E.Kant 05-27-2004 07:37 AM

I dont manage them at all and that's why I send thousands of "forgot my password" requests out monthly :1orglaugh
