I know its illogical but I am always a little tense the first few minutes of a flight. Yet driving in a car which is much more likely to result in your death.. doesn't bother me at all.

When you are involved in a plane crash statistics doesn't matter..

I don't ... when do you hear about plane crashes ? every few months ... how many people take the plane everyday ? SHITLOAD .

When do you hear about accident in your small town (100k people or so) ? EVERYDAY ...

That's way way safer then we actually think :)

people fear the most statistically insignificant events and yet dont fear the ones in front of their face (aka speeding or alcohol or bad health habits)

i have never flown, never even been inside a plane. i know its statistically safer then vehicles but you dont hear of ppl falling 30,000 feet out of a car :winkwink:
