It's even harder to believe an invisible man in the sky created us for his own amusement.

BTW, how much do you know about evolutionary theory?

I don't really think there is But at the same time, I've been in so many different states of sleep, and I realize how little we know about anything, that I realize everything is a cycle.

Who knows how it all works? None of us do, that's for sure.

At least you're honest.

People believe in God and the afterlife not because there's any compelling evidence, but because it's a psychologicial need.

One day in the future mankind will grow out of this bullshit.

Babagirls 05-26-2004 11:36 PM

cuz i do

Hairetsu 05-26-2004 11:37 PM

I almost died 2 times this week. last sat I wsas hit by a maserati on Glades road on the overpass of i-95, could of flipped if the guy had been going faster and we'd of been off the bridge into 80+mph cars on 95 :-\

the second was this guy was choking me and we were both drunk and I became unconcious cause he had cut off circulation to my brain. If he had held onto me for 15 seconds or even less longer I'd be dead.

its weird but being strangled to death is actually is a peacful way to go. I'll just kill myself at an old age. I'll strangle myself :)

I don't beleive in the after life... we'll see :-\ My eyes are all red. looks like the devils eyes. I can take a pic but it only scare you all . I was walking around with purple rings around my eyes and a blochy red face from that night. the rings and the face went away buy my eyes are still so fucking bloodshot. and its not the bud cause its not lines of red. its like mass's of red :-\

marcu5 05-26-2004 11:38 PM

passing out is peaceful in general. I've passed out twice and it's pretty calm and soothing. Everything just kinda fades to white

bluedevil 05-26-2004 11:40 PM

Yes because if there wasn't then I'd really feel like an asshole... I'd really feel lied to...

I believe our universe is a result of evolution and time, but I find it hard to understand how to rationalise why anything existed in the first place and how. I mean even if you can prove our universe as we know it today was formed by a spec of dust, you must still prove why that spec of dust existed in the first place, and why the idea of *space* (i.e. the place in which our universe was formed) even exists. For the record I don't really believe there is an afterlife (though I wouldn?t rule it out I don?t think), perhaps being dead is heaven, for ignorance is always bliss.

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh Same thing I try to tell people.

ytc, I believe when you die, you die and that's fucking it. Evolution has proven more to me than religion has, and I was in church from when I was 4 til I was 13. By that age, I just had a lot of unanswered questions, and science has proven more to me than religion has.

What I want to know is where the fuck all the other universes came from? We are no where close the the only universe. But in the bible it has no mention at all about any other universes. Is there a god for each of the single universes?

The body dies. The soul moves on. Its that simple.

My father died 17 years ago. He communicates with me in my dreams all the time still. He helps guide people to me for my business ventures so amazingly it's even hard for me to fathom and I'm very spiritual.

I'm absolutely convinced of this because we had setup a series of signals so I would know before he died. I've experienced these over and over. I keep his picture next to all my PC's to keep his spirit tuned in near me.

Anyone who thinks you die and that's it is in for a beautiful awakening and surprise. The soul is eternal.

I've always said that religion was for the weak minded that had a fear of death. That they need to believe there is something after life. I might be wrong and there is something after death, but this is my take.

I've had my share of shrooms, coke, weed, LSD and haven't had any type of spiritual experience while tripping. Maybe I just have my view so nailed down in my head.

My thoughts exactly. The stories made up by man are obvious bs and I don't think any intelligence created the universe, earth, or life but the universe is so vast and amazing and our knowledge of it so inadequate that nobody can ever really know for sure.

TAMPA_TOKER 05-27-2004 01:38 AM

I belive when you die you are dead and thats it. Till someone comems back and tell me diffrent i will allways belive that.

What stories, the bible, or science? because their all made by man, none were written by "god". So everything is bs? I'll go with that one.

but my view on the bible is, it is a great fictional book, has some parts, but I can't believe what some old fool wrote.

I agree. I also have had experiences that have left me no doubt that our soul is on a journey and this life is a very small part of it. People seem to have a bad taste about religion and thus close their minds, but being spiritual and religious are two completely different things.

OzMan 05-27-2004 01:47 AM

Yes I believe in life after your body dies.

I have fairly regular experiences through meditation of being apart from my body.

Realizing you are a lot more than just your physical body removes all "fear of death" AKA "The survival instinct"

This doesn't mean I play on the freeway or take unneccesary risks as I want to be here as long as possible.

Having no fear of death gives you complete freedom to accomplish what you came here for. :)

maxdaname 05-27-2004 01:51 AM

I believe Big is working on some tracks, right now, as we speak. And he's waiting for me to release all his new tracks...:)

I think that was more assumption and superstition than science.

When your dead your dead plain and simple. There is no heaven and hell. There is no next life and there sure the hell is no reincarnation.

Thomas1007 05-27-2004 01:53 AM

Yes, not to bring a somber mood but my mother passed last Sunday. I believe my Mother is up in heavean with my Father ( past 2 years ago ) drinking a pint, dancing the fox trot ( dont ask )
and having a wonderful time. I also Hope and believe when we pass we regain our youth, vitality and vigor and become who we are in spirit. Young and Full of Life.
We Exist in this state for eternity with our Loved ones.
( Or so I hope )
ok nuff of the emotional stuff, get back to work all of you.

No, the thought of the earth being flat was not based on superstition. It was based on hypothesis (an educated guess) which is what a lot of science is based on.
