Bonus days and High payouts what do you think
Just curious cause I see so many programs bumping payouts up and having crazy payout days.
Is it desperation or is it marketing in hopes webmasters stick around? Does it work? When you see programs with crazy payouts what do you really think? Do you guys look at the payout or how someone converts? Do you use your own tracking or rely on the programs tracking? Are the programs with High payouts paying on active member or trial do you even take these things into consideration when looking at payouts. Just a few things on my mind I would like to hear everyone?s take on it. Whether I should follow the trend or not. Webmasters fire away |
I don't tend to go for the weekend or 1-2 day promotions. It takes a long time for me to recreate all my pages and redirect traffic and its typically not worth the effort for a short bump in payouts. I prefer to go for the programs that I know and have experience with. I'm in this for the long haul and have a preference to promote a small handful of companies as heavily as possible as opposed to dozens of programs.

1) I look at how much I get paid for the hits I received to my servers (ie: Divide total sales by total hits I received) 2) My own hits is what matters to me. 3) I only care about being paid on trials. Whether or not they recurred is dependent on the programs members areas, nothing I can control. WG |
It encourages me to take a look at a sponsor if they can do a good promo like that.
I think ARS started this whole thing waaay back in like 2000 with their 75 bucks a signup days. Probably one of the keys to their success at the time. |
Interseting one says they are impressed the other not
courious to see what else webmasters think. I'm not knocking what programs do more power to them but some of the payouts seem really crazy tho. I'm just wondering if we should raise our payouts overall or have a bonus day or weekend? etc. I personally think times are tough so programs are going to pull out there last punches before they go down. |
I think it is a good idea. When trusted programs have these promos, I will push them more on those days.

Whoever your sending traffic to now I'll pay 10% more as long as they have the same type of trial if they don't I will make it. kinda like circuit city. this way i never have to worry I will just out bid everyone by 10% LOL what do you think? then the next program wil pay 20% more and on and on I'll start it off at 10% |
I thought for sure more people would have an opinion on this. To Me it depends on the program. 150 per sign up doesn't do me any good if I can't convert on "special" days. I also think programs that draw attention to themselves with crazy pay outs, will either have financial trouble, or people will begin to catch on that no matter how much traffic they throw at a program on the bonus day it's not going to happen for them. And people will eventually stop pushing them anyway.
I think a competitive payout, and an exceptional product that converts is what I prefer. |
Sure does attract mailer traffic.
So in other words, this promotion has had its day. |
Works for us here at Soulcash! I'm curious to see what other webmasters have to say about this as well.
Good thread :thumbsup |
I thi8nk I'm just going to raise payouts for our new release still deciding we have some great loyal webmasters
Either I reward the loyal webmaster or focus on getting new webmasters. I think I'll do both so wait for our new Promo :winkwink: |
