You need to tell what program you intend to use. Editing in premiere is different than editing in Vegas, encoding in WME is different than encoding in cleaner. Usually the programs themselves have good information. |
Why not try in Google?..

Real basic starter tutorial fromPinnicle Studio
Or just get a copy of Pinnacle Studio, the manual is pretty good and it's very simple to learn. Handles most basic video editing. Learn on that then when you need more, get Vegas Video. With video editing, you have to do, you can;'t just read. |
Teach Yourself VISUALLY Digital Video and/or Teach Yourself VISUALLY Premier 6 (if you want to use Adobe Premier to edit)
I recommend the Teach Yourself VISUALLY series of books for newbies. They have versions for Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and lots more. They make things VERY easy to understand for newbies. :) |
