About the hiphop culture and their gadgets

Oh come, dont tell me that thing 50ct has around his neck with the diamonds and shit is totally gay? It fucking spins! Wtf man, a grown up man with spinning chains around his neck?

And then i saw this other retard from g-g-g-g-unit kneeling down next to his spinning 22's while he was spinning his necklace at the same time. At that point i didnt know if i should be amazed or if i should laugh.

Totally idiotic.

These guys can have all the money in the world but class simply cant be bought.

When i watch mtv cribs and i see all those guys talking the talk, walking the walk and bragging about their homes. They are so clueless its simply pathetic. I might make 0.1% of what they make but at least i have some class. Something those clowns never will have. Those idiots think they are classy by filling the fridge with Cristal. Sad, very.

Hugs and kisses,

Battuss.

you can take the boy out of the hood but you can't take the hood out of the boy.

this just doesn't go for black people, the Beverly Hillbillies wasn't all that far fetched. Think Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold. People don't change much past a certain age, you are what you are.

NakedBo 05-26-2004 01:30 PM

I found a list on the internet with thing to say and not to say on MTV cribs. We are going to do an item on that list. I the the most fucked up place you can live in.

I personaly think it is not a sign of class to have the gadgets that they have. Why do you need 20 Pounds of gold on your neck, the only thing you get from that is neckpain..:winkwink:

and pussy..which every man lives and dies for

XxXotic 05-26-2004 01:32 PM

anyone growed up broke and now has money is gonna flaunt it.

whether it be posting threads "look at all my cars" here on gfy or spinning a 250k iced out neckpiece, it's gonna happen because people think for some reason that what you own makes you the man you are, and even worse, they think it's gonna impress anyone else.

and for the record, 90% of those platinum neckpieces are rented, not owned :winkwink:

Yo some of them are more intelligent and well spoken that you think ... lot of artists give thesmelf a public look / opinion but don't think like they act in public and in front of the camera

FuqALot 05-26-2004 01:38 PM

cluck 05-26-2004 01:41 PM

Fat Joe lives a few blocks from my old neighborhood so last night we went to spy on him. Nice ass house with a whole bunch of crappy cars in the driveway. All we saw through the windows was smoke and hoes.

Pornwolf 05-26-2004 01:43 PM

Class is relative. If the people you care about and associate with are of the same class then you have all the class you need.

To rappers, classy people are conceited and stiff which equals no fun in their eyes. They would prefer not to associate with those people much the same way those classy people would prefer not to associate with them.

Conversely, the different classes of people tend to borrow elements from the other at different times to add to their own lifestyles so they tolerate each other to a point. Whether it be Donald Trump hanging with P. Diddy or your mom shaking her butt like Beyonce while listening to Crazy In Love with Jay-Z at the office Christmas party, the 'classy' people like to slum and live like the 'classless' momentarily at times.

Get the point.

most of them grew up in the ghetto man or low income areas so when they get ther cash you know they're gonna flaunt it, just like any rockstar did and pop star they had they're style big hair bad videos girls and lots of drugs. the rappers are into drugs cars girls everything when you put a guy like axel rose or somethin next to fifty cent just as an example who do you think would look more respectable... you know 50 cent is gonna be decked out in some new designers shit or g-unit clothing while a guy in rock band would t-shirt jeans type deal leather jacket maybe u all know what im talkin about it's just a change of times and styles catch up

Yup, very true. That's what happens when someone becomes wildly successful in a short period of time.

Herb Kornfield 05-26-2004 03:26 PM

I hope that the hip hop acts have the knowledge to get someone on their team to invest well for the long term.

Most of the rappers I bet dont own the cars / houses / boats / etc that they are living , using as theirs, its probably the management companies that own them all at the end of the day.

Disposable heroes is all they are. Wait til the next hot trend is out and hip hop has the backlash that all music gets from the next generation's fan base.
