rappers who complain about file sharing
isnt this the most ironic shit u have ever heard?
|
Yes. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I know the point their fighting for, but they need to realize the breakeven point. Most just whine.
|
I always chuckle when I hear them refer to themselves as "artists." :1orglaugh
|
The people that complain dont make enough money i'm guessing i dont see Jigga man crying about file sharing, he still sells atleast 5 million copies of every album that he puts out.
|
I believe what rob was referrering to was the fact that they are bitching about theft when they themselves are indeed theives, er... samplers.

and they're stealing beats of true artists to loop it every 3 sec...:BangBang:

sorry we are pimping ur songs bitches |
Those damn rappers with their spinning wheels and their fat platinum chains! They get all the girls and money and make me so mad! :BangBang:

I dont hear DeBarge, Stevie Wonder, or James Brown complaining when they get that royalty check! Sure, lots of songs wouldnt have existed without the use of certain samples, but lots of these 'musicians' who we sample from got seriously jerked by their lables back in the 60's-70's. Lots of the R&B artist that our parents know and LoVe are BROKE AS FUCK! Thanks to 'rappers', these tired old fuckers who we "robb" can pay their rent, keep the repo man away for another two weeks, and support that heroin habbit. Its funny to hear people hate on rap music just because its the most popular music, and created by ******s in America!:1orglaugh |
hey dont get me wrong, i listen to the good shit, music in the uk, like drum n bass and garage.
i was just commenting on the irony of rappers and file sharing. dnb and garage is black ppl music in the uk. =) i like good music i dont care who makes it |
alot of the original stuff they did was probably on p2p and thats how they got known (some of them i think..maybe not your eminem's etc but others)

How quick of you to throw the race card in. FYI I do like Blues & Reggae, (forms of music that are black in origin, since it matters so much) these are true forms of music. I could listen to BB King play for hours, but give me 10 seconds of any of Dr. Dre's "creations" and I'll fucking puke. If they have rights to sample, great, by all means do it and pay the royalties, but there is a reason Dre and others are involved w/ so many legal battles and it isn't because they are overly concerned about the welfare of their elders. |

he is kind of right about rappers complaining about how much dope they're pushing and glamorizing drug dealers and pimps and then try to look at the bootlegger as the scum of the earth.

Its not just rappers. Metallica is one of the most outspoken bands when it comes to file sharing. Its ironic because without the swapping of bootleg tapes and garage performances they would have never been what they are today.
Fuck them. Ive seen them 4 times but will never buy a concert ticket or CD from them or any band that bitches a lot about file sharing again. |
You guys have to understand that the artist make very little on every album sold. They make pennies on the dollar. Its the Labels that make the majority of it. So every little bit counts for them.
Why Eminem is complaining, that is another story. |

I saw it Bang Bus I swear that shit is real! get real. Amazing how people think. |
I like rap "music" - but I don't give a fuck about their opinion...

The Dead encourged people to come tape the shows...
Metallica used to encourage people to come tape the shows in the early 90's.... why they changed their tune is beyond me now. Maybe if bands and artists put out "good" music and not flooeded the market with shit, we'd all buy it and not have to pirate old tunes. :glugglug |
