how to lower my cost??
i know of.... *travel Sunday-Thursday for low hotel rates *buffet and a few specific cafe's for cheaper food *check for special air fares (cheapest i found was $200) Im only lookin to stay for about 4 days. :helpme |
If your not going to rent a car... Use the bus... But buy the day pass for $5.00 ride as much as you want for 24 hours.
Have fun... Denny |

Arrange travel deals through hotels if possible. Sometimes they'll give you lower priced travel if you stay at their place. :2 cents:

Do a little hooking on the side.. this could become a money making adventure for you! :Graucho

Hook up with a sugar daddy like me.
But seriously, why go to Vegas if you have no money? |
When you get there...stay away from the 4 deck blackjack tables. Save you a ton of cash...:winkwink:

When I have to go to Vegas (usually for a convention) I always stay at the Westward Ho. First of all, it's called 'Ho'. Secondly, room rates are usually between $30 and $50 a night. The rooms are shabby and small, but they're clean and I always get *fabulous* service there... the staff have always been super nice and accomodating. The hotel cafe (in the casino) has two foot hot dogs and giant strawberry shortcake (the shortcake is bigger than your head and both are good quality) for $1.50 each. It's on the strip still, next to Circus Circus.
They don't usually participate in travel websites, but you can check prices and make reservations at their own site: http://www.westwardho.com/ I'd love to go to Vegas and stay in a really posh hotel if I was rich, but as long as I'm not I'll be staying there... and how much time do you spend in your room anyway? |
imperial palace is a pretty cheap place to say and is on the strip. You can save money eating by hitting the buffets one or twice a day.
I usually hit the craps tables and make just enough to pay for my food for the day..doesnt always work that way..but I try..lol good luck and have fun!! sightseeing and staring at all the freaks is free!:thumbsup |
While it's a dump, the Imperial Palace will give you $25-$50 food vouchers (per day) if you make them think that you plan to spend a bunch in their casino.
That's how a friend of mine (total cheapskate) travels to vegas regularly. |

Tip #1 Tips on drinking for free Sit at a bar ask for a $10 roll of quarters, get a free drink. Take your roll of quarters to the cage cash them in go to another bar in the casino do the same thing a few dozen times. Tip #2 Buffet Go to the buffets about $10-15 Fill up on eats brakefast and dinner buffets. Or check out the poker rooms they have free doughnuts in the AM hours, sometimes they have pizza in the lunch-dinner time. Tip #3 Hotel rooms Comp secrets. Make sure you get the slot club cards. Or when you sit at a table say black jack. make sure the pit boss sees you playing more then the stakes at the table. Ask for room comps for your table play. if you dont want to play stay at the less expensive hotels. Jean nevada (Gold Strike, Nevada Landing) cost about $19 + tax Sunday-TH. The hotels down town are somewhat cheap as well. Ive stayed in Vegas for 3 weeks on 200 dollars once, and payed for 2 nights got comped the rest of my stay, along with free meals..Wasnt a bad 3 weeks I left vegas with over $2,500 that trip...LOL |
