If you were going to buy a laptop for $2k or under what would you get?

What brand, what model? what would you get for a laptop?
Im leaning towards a Dell but want to hear what you all have to say first.

Also look into Fujitsus and Gericoms - though I don't have the model numbers to hand. :)
