I did one and one my machine with WM 9 its fine

I tested the trailer on laptop with WM8

Now when you encode what exactly can you do to get it to work om most formats?

Only thing to do unless you encode it into WM8. MPEG is universal.

That's why you DONT encode with WM9 , you encode with WM8.

Yeah a lot of people still have only 8.. once the next version of windows comes out you can increment it again. :Graucho

if you're only going to provide movies in one format go with MPEG.

if you do MPEG and WMV u can do Windows Media 9 cuz you have the MPEGs for those who still haven't upgraded.

Hes talking about trailers , you don't use WM9 for trailers, period.

I wouldnt even use mpeg cause the files are so big.
