I spent almost 7 years as a Taco Bell manager.

I won't quote #'s etc but I learned one thing and customer service was very important.

However ever since I left that industry been I guess about 4-5 years it seems no one cares about service anymore anywhere.

I stopped by to grab a meal for the family and one part of the order was a #7 combo and instead of fries I wanted onion rings.

Okay onion rings are exactly the same price according to their menu board.

So anyway...we get the order and instead of 3 fries and one onion ring *there are 4 of us total* there are 4 fries.

So I tell the guy "Hey one of these was supposed to be onion rings, I ordered it with the #7."

He says.."keep the fries I'll go get your onion rings."

Exactly how I would have handled it.

However he comes back with the onion rings and say..."My boss told me to tell you next time if it's not on the order you don't get it."

LOL so I'm supposed to pay for their fuck up?

I know how you feel I was a Burger King manager for 12 yrs back in the day.
You should have asked for the manager and ripped him/her a new asshole.
I hate the way they act now, and you never get any napkins, etc.

It used to be that you earned customers, but now I guess we're just so crowded that you're going to get a customer regardless so fuck treating them like they pay your bills.

I hate pricks like that. I'd never go back and I'd make it a point to tell that manager that he just not only lost my business, but the business of everyone I know.

What these pinheads forget is that if you spend say $10 a week there, that is $520 a year and over 10 years it is $5200. Tell 10 friends how bad the place sucks and that is $52,000 lost because of 4 orders of onion rings. Brilliant, just brilliant.

I worked at Mcdonalds when I was in highschool and those places are so fucked up behind the scenes. My manager actually taught me how to screw people over so it looked like there were getting more fries or whatever, but they really weren't. Like fucking over the customer was part of our training.

Damn man! Shall I alert the president?!

There is 5 of us and they fuck up our orders...every single time :-)

Don't even get me started with customer service going to shit. I have been working in customer service for the paste 11 years. The past 7 of those I was a manager of a retail store. Everywhere I go I get treated like I should feel honored to be in their presence. Fast food is the worst though, if they make a mistake you get the dirtiest looks like you are trying to scam them or something. A couple of weeks ago I went to taco bell, bit into my taco and out came a huge long fucking hair. Immediately after spitting it up I brought the taco right up to the counter. They girl actually rolled her eyes at me like it was my hair. First of all my hair isn't black and long, second of all who the fuck do you think you are rolling your eyes at me, and last...THEIR WAS A FUCKING HAIR IN MY TACO!!!!!

You think hair is bad? I once ordered a taco, and I normally never paid attention to how the prepared the food. For whatever reason, I was watching this punk make my food, to my horror I noticed there was a bandage half hanging on his finger dangling into my food. It was a LONG while before I ate any fast food.

If the place you are eating at is not following that simple guideline get out they are not following more important ones.

Yeah. Good advice. I used to work as an asst. manager at a fast food restaurant up here, waaay back just out of highschool, and we wouldn't stand for that shit. Those were the days.. I'd like to be 19 or 20 again. :)

I eventually had to quit because I couldn't stand the greasiness day after day.. I was taking like 3 showers a day and still felt dirty all the time. Mostly mental no doubt.
