Hey, I found this great new diet, and I can eat all the carbs I want...
.... it's called the EXERCISE DIET.
Exercise... yeah, it's this little-known activity where you move your limbs around in an ongoing steady motion for a period of time in order to actually burn calories... and fat. You know, walk, jog, bike, deep knee bends, light range of motion movements etc. Doesn't that sound amazing? This little flash movie falls right in line with what I think about this fucking "Fatkins Diet"..... http://www.illwillpress.com/fatkins.html :thumbsup |
sorry, I'd rather spend $150 a month on miracle pills :D

Compare the people at your local steakhouse to the people at an Italian "pasta" restaurant.
IMO Outbackers are much bigger pigs. |
It really all depends on moderation... and just because your fit, does not mean you're healthy.
Cheers, Matt |
I follow the diet of "don't eat like a fucking pig". If it looks like enough to feed a family of 4, it probably should. Let's show some self control and eat smaller portions while following the "exercise diet". What a concept!

exercise.. mm.. I prefer having sex.. I can burn more calories..

You're right. By combining a sensible diet of a VARIETY of foods with regular exercise a person will lose more weight than by just going on a diet with no exercise or by exercising and eating like a pig.
I'm just sick of all this carb shit going on out there now.... "can't eat that", "carb this", "the math doesn't add up for that" etc etc. It's bullshit. Eat food + exercise, that's the only math anyone needs to know. |

The only time I watch what I eat is when I am going for the "build muscle" thing. Then you kinda have to. But to just be slim, or slim for your body structure, I think the your diet plan will work!!! :winkwink: |
I think this Atkins carb-counting thing just enables a lot of people to avoid exercise. Except for the ones that physically CAN'T exercise... they are the ones who could benefit from it. But there are a shitload of people out there counting carbs who are otherwise perfectly healthy and thus have no business being on the fatkins diet when they should be exercising and eating right.
I love bread, pasta, and baked potatoes too much to give up. If a little exercise is what it takes to keep that stuff in my diet, then I'm willing to do some. |

Maintaining a healthy weight and life style is all about diet AND excersize... and too many people seem to want to skimp on one of them.
I don't understand why people don't get it .. if you want to lose weight FAST and keep it off .. then you need to make lifestyle changes. Stop eating fast food and drinking pop. Park your car a block away from work and walk. Use the stairs not the elevator. Take half of your lunch break to go for a walk. Making lifestyle changes can be easy .. it doesn't mean you have to blow $30 / month on a gym membership that you'll never use. |
Wanna lose weight? - Go to the gym!
|
Agree with your view, but the Atkins diet has educated us about carbs and how we don't need that much of them.

Did you guys see that new mouth retainer type thing dentists are selling to fat people now so they can't fit as much food in their mouth?
I'm sorry, but if you need that to keep yourself from shoveling food into your hole then you lack some of the most basic natural human instincts. Go buy a baby spoon and eat with that instead. One thing I've noticed about many really big people is that they take a bite of food, chew very few times and then swallow it whole. Look around next time you go out to eat for this. Then the skinny people are the ones to take is slow and chew things up into a pulp. |
Exercise is not in my vocabulary. I'm a webmaster.
|
haha, that's awsome
