I saw one the other day and it looks very tight. But check into it deep before buying. They were having problem's with the trany in the past.:2 cents:

The Magnum isnt bad.
I think the new Durango is ugly though. The older ones are definately ALOT sharper!

I have a 2000 Durango R-T and it is a great truck. The new ones look like shit in my opinion.

Concerning the transmissions, I have had to get modules replaced that controlled downshifting from 3rd - 2nd - 1st stopped working at 35,000 miles. (( warranty repair ))

At 60,000 I had to get a complete rebuild for 1k.

Since then, the trans has been rock solid, the truck has almost been maintence free in evey other respect outside the shitty trans. Been over a year and a half now since fixed

I have found out that idling in drive kills chrysler trans. drop it to neutral and it may help. My father's mechanic told me that one since he's had to replace many a chrysler trans.

I bought a new Durango in 99, I love this truck but it does have a bunch of problems. I have had the windows motors replaced twice, and a bunch of frontend problems (luckily i have a extended warranty) The new ones are UGLY, and dont have the look of the originals. Like i said i love my Durango but id never buy the new one it just doenst have the same alure as the pervious ones.

I'm pretty sure Amp does. I remember he posted a black one on here.

budz 05-25-2004 07:24 AM

yeah I definately like the older durangos better than the newer ones...

I just totalled my 2001 slt plus 4x4 & broke my leg April 3'd.

pictures of my leg:
My Broken Leg Pictures

pictures of the durango should be up as soon as I get them.

I hit a tree head on going pretty fast ( long story ).
I had two surgeries, and ended up with a plate in my leg.

I think the old 2000 model looks much better than the current one. The new one just looks like a toy or something and the front end just isnt appealing at all.

cool car, looks great :thumbsup
