Thats interesting. I send a lot of email traffic to them too.

No need for the mad face... If anyone does take over AE/IW then you can be sure that they will also continue to offer a great deal for webmasters as always.

The thing that puzzles me is certainly they have built up some connections by now w/ somebody that would at least be interested... why sell it on eBay. That's what makes me believe this isn't real. Then again, who knows.

A number of sponsors have already shown interest, it is afterall an ideal add on for any program with a decent number of sites. They can continue to run AE easily while adapting a high percentage of promotions to push their own sites - webmasters continue to get sales and both programs grow...
The reason I opted to put it up for auction was simply to get the programs already interested into an auction situation - I am afterall trying to get the best return from the endless hours and money already invested into AE/IW.
I can see my having a reseller rating of "0" on Ebay didnt help but then again Ive never auctioned anything before, so whats a guy to do?
Instead, Ive removed the auction from Ebay, and posted full details here:

Maybe the new spam laws are affecting business? I know it's not really spam they are sending as they are collecting and verifying the lists, but it could make life more difficult..

The new spam laws only make life more difficult for the real spammers which is great news to AdultEarners. The more spammers that are discouraged by these laws the better, less spam in surfer inboxes means more attention to genuine double opt in emails.

a big part of adult earners is getting the sponsor referrals of all their webmasters. in many cases they will still be making 10% of sales through adult earners even after they dont own the program.... something to consider.

I dont know where this came from however I assumed it would go without saying that anyone taking over AE/IW would also be taking over our existing accounts, referrals afterall is what AE is all about.
Before any more AE webmasters get mad or feel like Im pulling a dirty trick I want to assure you that any new owner would continue to promote AE in a way beneficial to webmasters and secondly that if a suitable owner is not found then I will be employing a manager to run the sites for me on a % basis - either way, AdultEarners isnt going away and it will continue to grow as fast as ever.
Ive had a few ICQs asking for my reasons behind my offering the sites for sale considering that they are making money and its a question Id ask myself so heres the reason.
Ive spend the last 2.5yrs sitting 14hrs a day infront of a PC and to be honest look forward to the day when I no longer have to "login". Its always been my dream to get a large, run down country home at a cheap price and spend a year or two renovating from top to bottom before opening boarding kennels and stables and breeding a range of pedigrees....
My parents live in the UK while I live in Spain, my father passed away in December and my mother couldnt stand living in the family home and I managed to talk her into coming to live with me to spend her retirement years in the sun - Its also always been a dream of hers to run a country B&B or small private hotel...
With me so far?? Well, with cash from the sale of the family home together with my own funds we are about to put in an offer on this 23 roomed country house..

A solution that would answer both my mothers dreams of running a B&B and my own of the challange of renovating it up. You can see from the property that it will take at least 2/3 years work and you can also see why my spending 10hrs a day infront of a PC just wouldnt be viable...
The quick cash injection of selling off the websites would also come in very handy - however, as I have said many times, if a suitable new owner cant be found then Ill employ a manager to run it for me and Ill take my income monthly instead of in one hit.
I hope the above makes sense and clears up the situation although Im sure it will once again end up with back-biting somehow which I dont want to get drawn into.
If anyone has any specific questions for me then please use the LiveSupport service or email me direct - I have a hard job keeping up with the speed of threads here at GFY :)
