different dogs have different hair - look at several different breeds - do not spend you life on pills for a dog - you'll end up resenting the dog - check out some different breeds first. short hair, long hair, wool, etc......

lithium

Claritin or Allegra should do it , takes about a week or two to fully get into your system. Claritin is over the counter now , but Allegra is still an Rx....Oh, and I'm a nursing student if that makes you feel more comfortable :)

Good Luck :thumbsup

You can get tested and shots, but that couse takes months, or get claritan D in walgreens, dont touch dog then you wash hands before spreading dog dander on you, that's why you itch..

The allergy shots are *definately* worth it, and I'm speaking from experience.

i recommened that over the counter "clairitin". works fuckin great for me!

Smurfette 05-24-2004 06:56 PM

I'm very allergic to cats and dogs but I've owned 2 cats and 1 dog that I wasn't allergic to, but as soon as I touch other cats or dogs my eyes get all puffy, I start to sneeze and all that fun crap that comes with allergies. But I have tried claritan and that did work.

that over the counter "alavert" is a good alternative to claritin

Consult a doctor!

Illicit 05-24-2004 07:09 PM

I thought they had some shampoo shit you could use on the dog to make it ok...

Jace 05-24-2004 07:10 PM

allegra

you prolly not allergic to the actual hair but the dander within the hair and on the skin.....that is what most people are allergic to, it is just easier for the world to say hair :)

Trixie 05-24-2004 07:39 PM

Get a poodle -- they have hair instead of fur and are recommended for people with pet allergies.
