Taxes are killing me.

I am 19. I work about 2 hours a day with my paysites. So far I have made $ 10 000 this year and will probably make another 15 000 before the year ends. Thats pretty good for a 19-year old right? No.

Because that is before taxes.

In my fucking country I am required to pay at least 50 % of what I earn in income tax!

What the fuck! I will have to pay $ 13 000 of $ 25 000 in income tax!?

I fucking hate my country and socialdemocrazy!

So, how much do you pay in tax in your country?

Edit: It is not possible to esacape taxes in my country. Punishment if you get caught are really nasty and besides the goverment has full insight in all citizens bankaccounts.

plyndrty 05-24-2004 05:23 AM

Hey man, I have been paying taxes for years and have had to pay every year untill I got me a tax man. Let a professional set you up right and you should be ok. Trust me it's worth having someone else do it for you.:2 cents:

NakedBo 05-24-2004 05:34 AM

Get someone to do your taxes for you, my father does mine, and he knows some good tricks to get your taxes down. Most of them do.

We pay alot here to. It depends on how much you make though.

a lot of threads about sweden and their taxes on this board..:glugglug whats up with that?

TexasGuy 05-24-2004 09:49 AM

Somedays I wonder why the fuck I had to be born in the country with the worlds largest taxes!!

First I have to pay 20 % of what I earn in value-added tax.

From what is left I have to pay 30 % in "social benefits" or what the fuck it is called.

From what is left of that I have to pay 33 % in income taxes.

If I earn more than 30 000 per year I have to pay another 25 % in taxes on amounts exceeding 30 000

From what is left, the few dollars (kronor) I can use to acctually buy stuff, I have to pay another 20 % in value-added tax.

That means a normal swedish guy pays between 60-70% of what he earns in tax.

Dont, I repeat dont, allow fucking socialdemocrats to rule your country. They will kill YOU with their fucking taxes!

FlyingIguana 05-24-2004 09:51 AM

so what do you get that an american doesn't with all those extra tax dollars?

i don't really know much about what goes on in countries like sweden.

Gottis 05-24-2004 10:15 AM

I know of a certain somebody who runs everything through Gibralatar. :)

Sweden has high taxes, yep, but great health care and education opportunities. Crime is low and we have the hottest babes in the world. :thumbsup

sirrobin 05-24-2004 10:26 AM

do what the Ikea guy did - move to Switzerland !

seriously though - go see a tax lawyer or accountant. you seem to have no clue about taxation

also consider offshore banking

With few exceptions, tuition fees for students are fully subsidised by the state, regardless of their nationality. :Graucho

Private was founded and is still owned by a Swedish dude. He runs some departments in his company from Sweden.

Sweden ain't all bad, but the taxes are high. There are of course a number of ways to get around this "problem".

NaughtyAlysha 05-24-2004 10:28 AM

We are an S-corp, so we only pay taxes on what the company profits, and what we pay ourselves as a salary. We have a great accountant who keeps us up to date every month on where we're at, and how much more we need to "spend".
