If you consider buying a VAIO notebook....
 
you should know that i just called the support cuz my keyboard is a little fucked

it types shit like "A ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssa a s ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ssss"
even though i dont touch anything

so i called the hotline.. after 5 min in the line i have a guy in the link (i thought: thank god its a guy)

he than tells me i have to pay 20 bucks just for having him listen to my problem...

cc out blah blah
10 minutes over

i tell him whats up.. he asks if there has been fluid over the board... i can 100% deny and then he tells me:



Reinstall windows on the machine




i was like... wtf how can that be a software problem
he then tells me to try it and call back if it doesnt work -
says goodbye and hangs up

can you fucking believe that :mad:

That's not a software problem.. that guy is not the support you need.
Call again and ask for the manager or someone else with more than two cockroaches in the head... and tell them you have a fisical problem with the keyboard.:thumbsup

my schedule goes like this
in 1 hour no data will be on the HD no more
in 1.5 hours the notebook will be on ebay
in 2 hours i will order a new notebook and def. no sony

fuck sony

oh yeah
and of course i will chargeback the 20 bucks they charged my card

They charged you $20 for support?

If you knew it was a hardware problem why would you call in the first place? Is it still under warranty?

I have a vio note book and called them also and these people really don't know what they are talking about. You can better just return to the store where you bought it. They know better what to do then the sone support team. BtW you sony most be lder then a year. The first year the call is free after that is is like $20 per call. The fuckers. :ak47:

I have had really bad experience with the Clie PDA line and the Sony support. Neither the WLAN or the Modem in the PDA works. I spend weeks messaging back and forth through their support portal. No success, no solution, they just stopped mailing. Very bad support.

PS: 404 Pages are very common there. None of the links in their notification e-mails worked, I think they fixed it now.
