diet lemon coke no doubt is the worst tasting food or beverage i've ever tasted. i thought maybe the can i opened was bad, tasted like windshield wiper fluid, but they all tasted the same.

other than excessive sugar being bad for the teeth and leading to weight gain what is so bad about soft drinks? it's sugar water with bubbles, hardly a carcinogenic threat. i know other people who say the same thing and I always ask them the same thing, one friend told me his dad died at like 50 and the doctor told him it was his addiction to sodas - i said 'wtf?', what the hell is in a soda other than sugar that is so dangerous? I drink alot of Coke, so i am interested in hearing anything scientific that points to soda being really bad for you.

then somebody else told me there was a study recently that even diet sodas make you fat, , said it was the carbonated bubbles that make diet soda work against you losing weight. I searched the web and couldn't find anything about this study.

I have been a Coke drinker 4-ever. I drink Coke when I wake up. But, a few months ago I started a diet, and KNEW I could not drink Coke. I now drink Diet Dr. Pepper, and it is awesome! It has a slight after-taste, but not anywhere near as bad as other diet drinks. I have NEVER been able to drink diet cola. yuck!! I got used to it after 1 can.

Also, after about a week I couldn't even drink a Coke.....it was WAY to sweet.

I just bought some Diet Dr. Pepper this week. Need a change up from my Diet Pepsi addiction.
