other than excessive sugar being bad for the teeth and leading to weight gain what is so bad about soft drinks? it's sugar water with bubbles, hardly a carcinogenic threat. i know other people who say the same thing and I always ask them the same thing, one friend told me his dad died at like 50 and the doctor told him it was his addiction to sodas - i said 'wtf?', what the hell is in a soda other than sugar that is so dangerous? then somebody else told me there was a study recently that even diet sodas make you fat, , said it was the carbonated bubbles that make diet soda work against you losing weight. I have been a Coke drinker 4-ever. I drink Coke when I wake up. But, a few months ago I started a diet, and KNEW I could not drink Coke. I now drink Diet Dr. Pepper, and it is awesome! It has a slight after-taste, but not anywhere near as bad as other diet drinks. I have NEVER been able to drink diet cola. yuck!! I got used to it after 1 can.Originally posted by B40
