When was the last time you realized you were happy?

Seems like an obvious question, but given the crazy modern world we live in, its not so obvious.

nathan_f 05-23-2004 08:38 PM

You have to always try to be happy. It's not easy in this fucking strange world we live in. But to be sad is a waste of time.

thatjen 05-23-2004 09:58 PM

Every morning when I wake up and I realize I don't have to go to work. :)

KCat 05-23-2004 10:17 PM

About 4 hours ago having a yummy noodle bowl at my fave Viatnemese restaurant. Yummmm!

Maybe your post will remind people to enjoy the little things that make life great! :)

TAMPA_TOKER 05-23-2004 10:18 PM

After sitting on gfy reading post and seeing how miserable people are on here....

Lykos 05-23-2004 10:31 PM

Hmmm...honestly i can't remember when i was "completly happy" :(

graphicsbytia 05-23-2004 10:39 PM

just a few minutes ago actually..

it wasn't always that way though.. the things that have changed are:

1. I stopped drinking and using
2. I'm alone for the first time in my life
3. I'm starting to believe that you only live once is an important realisation
4. I work for myself

I think the normal state of happiness is something that I never felt until I stopped using, so to me it's great .. other people take it for granted

aSStig 05-23-2004 11:46 PM

A few days ago, I got that buzzy wuzzy happy feeling. For no reason at all.

I'm enjoying my work, my friends, my house and the way things are going right now

Smurfette 05-24-2004 05:20 AM

This morning when I woke up and my 5 year old son came in with some rotten weeds that he picked in the garden yesterday to give me the flowers and said good morning mom, I love you its a beautiful day out, and my 1 year old girl looks at me with the brightest blue eyes saying mom mom mom mom!!! Takes away all the stress that we are under at least for a few mintues to see the innocence in their faces.
