Need critique on new tour $$$$
 

We launched our new tour last week for Jenna.com

The old tour was getting very stale and had alot of flaws in it but was converting very nicely. The new tour is much more asthetically pleasing, and shows off much more of what we've got going on inside the site. Preliminary numbers for the first few days are showing a significant dropoff in conversions, up to 50% and more on some days which we normally thrive. Not enough time yet to have something solid to go on, but just a red flag for us right now. Lookin for someone to come in and critique the hell out of it and help us tweak tweak tweak so we can continue to capitalize on the traffic like we were before.

The splash pic of the girls should be TOP notch quality. It looks like a terribly compressed .gif or .jpg

Frankly, I don't think it would do well with any of my sites. That style of tour hasn't converted with the same consistancy as episode by episode break down.

It's a new splash everytime you reload the page.

I don't know, the old tour was setup the same way and was converting like a monster. I'm just scratching my head (although a little prematurely at this point) at what the hell could be the cause of the dropoff.

Could be it has nothing to do with the tour at all.

The site design is nice. I would give it a 7 1/2. Could be more detailed and less narrow/clean looking with the same text everywhere. Yet it is very clean and to the point. The site loaded at a nice speed yet when I closed the site to respond about the design I noticed your first pop up loaded really slow, but I wanted to see what else loaded so I waited and then your second big pop up didnt load for 15 seconds and then I closed out of it. I think you need a faster host.

for jenna.com, people are most likely looking for Jenna J., not Matrix's Jenna2... doesn't VS lease a Jenna feed?

For obvious legal reasons, we can't put that in the tour, but we've got tons of exclusive Jenna J pics in the mems area, including feeds from VS.

Too many damn popups. Hear of cookies?

From a surfer POV, if I see Jenna.com I wanna see Jenna. And in adult there's only one Jenna, you can name 10 million girls "Jenna" (let me say the name "Jenna 2" is absolutely stupid IMHO. What's next? Jenna 3 The Revenge, Jenna 4 attack of the bimbos?) but surfers know one and only one: Jenna Jameson. Isn't it possible to get some Jenna content you can put in the tour?

Another thing would be to see your former tour to compare. All in all, the tour looks decent, maybe a slight bit of compression. But it lacks of marketing slogans, or even why the domain name is Jenna.com but you don't have Jenna in the tour.
